Hi there! I’m Carmen, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself with you.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires by my Swiss parents, I grew up surrounded by a rich blend of cultures that sparked my curiosity and deep love for the arts and cultural expressions.
At the age of 10, I already knew I wanted to become a designer. I pursued this passion with determination, earning my bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Textile Design from UADE (Faculty of Architecture & Design) in 2017.
After graduating, I moved to Lima, Peru, to join the local haute couture brand Carlos Vigil, where I gained invaluable experience working closely alongside the Creative Director.
Upon returning to Argentina, I joined Gaucho Buenos Aires, then an emerging label, and helped shape its creative identity as it expanded globally. I currently serve as their Head Fashion and Accessories Designer. Our collections have been showcased at Buenos Aires and New York Fashion Week, and featured in publications such as Marie Claire, L’Officiel, and Forbes Magazine.
I believe continuous learning is one of the most powerful tools we have. That belief has led me to take further courses in Fashion Sustainability, Art Direction, and Product Management (IED Barcelona), and to recently complete a Postgraduate Degree in Trends Research & Strategic Thinking (LCI Barcelona)—a field that truly fascinates me.
I’m currently based in Barcelona, a vibrant and culturally rich city that deeply resonates with me. I thrive on new and diverse experiences, and I would describe myself as a curious, passionate individual who embraces challenges. My love for learning, paired with a strong admiration for design and art, drives me to create meaningful work that tells compelling visual stories.
